What it is

In plain words.

A plain contact form says 'tell us about your project' and leaves the customer staring at an empty box. A guided form asks one question at a time, changes the next question based on the answer, and shows an instant ballpark price from your own rules.

You can see one working: the Estimator on this site is built exactly this way. Customers step through their choices, watch the total update, and send the finished scope straight to the studio.

A good fit if

  • Businesses that quote the same kinds of jobs again and again: renovation, cleaning, landscaping, events, installs.
  • Anyone whose quotes depend on a handful of answers (size, scope, timing).
  • Owners who lose evenings to estimates that never convert.

Probably not for you if

  • Every job is truly custom and can't be priced from a few answers.
  • You'd rather talk to every customer first. A form can warm the conversation but doesn't replace it.

We'd rather tell you so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

What you get

Exactly what's included.

A multi-step guided form

One clear question at a time, on any screen size.

Questions that change with the answers

Choose 'bathroom' and you're asked about bathrooms.

Your pricing rules

Prices, add-ons, minimums and any rules you want, built into the form.

An instant estimate

The customer sees a ballpark total as they go.

Full details sent to you

Every answer, plus their contact details, in one message.

Your branding

It looks like part of your site.

How it goes

  1. We map your pricing

The questions you ask on every quote and how the answers change the price.

  2. We build the flow

A short guided form ending in an estimate and a request to talk.

  3. You test it with your own jobs

We adjust until the estimates match what you'd quote.

Why it's worth it

What it does for you.

Less time on quotes

The estimating questions are answered before you see the enquiry.

Better-qualified leads

People who see a price range and still ask are more likely to be serious.

Faster replies

A customer gets a number in a minute, not a day.

Complete information

You get what you need to quote properly, in one message.

  • The estimate is a ballpark that starts a better conversation. The proper quote still comes from you.

Run your own numbers

Example figures. Change them to yours.

Count your quoting time. These are example numbers: change them to your own.

min
%
$

Use what you'd pay someone for that hour, or what the hour could earn you.

Time you get back4.0 hours a month at the rate you entered
$160

Net each month

$160

That would repay the $495 setup in about 3.1 months, and about $1,920 a year after that.

What this assumes

  • The time estimate is yours, not ours: change the numbers until they match your week.
  • It doesn't count the jobs you might win by answering faster. That's real but depends on your market.

The practical bits

What it takes.

What we need from you

  • How you price: your questions, rates, minimums and extras.
  • A few real examples of past quotes, so we can check the estimates.
  • Where you want the enquiries sent.

How long it takes

Usually two to three weeks, depending on how many questions and pricing rules your jobs involve.

Timelines are typical. The dates for your project go in your proposal.

Afterwards

It's a one-time price. You own what we build, and if you ever want changes later, we quote them first.

Questions

Likely questions, answered.

Is the price on screen a binding quote?

No. It's an estimate built from your rules, so the conversation starts in the right place. You confirm the real quote.

How complicated can the pricing be?

Very. Tell us how you price now and we'll tell you honestly how well it translates into a form.

Can customers upload photos?

That's the photo estimate request add-on, which is built for exactly that.

Can I change the prices later?

Yes. The pricing sits in one place you control, so a new rate doesn't mean a rebuild.

Can it take a deposit?

Not as part of this add-on. See invoicing and online payments.

What does Custom quote & estimate builder cost?

$495 setup. The price is fixed and written into your proposal before any work starts, so there are no hourly surprises. If you ask for something that isn't in the proposal, we quote that change first and nothing changes until you agree.

Do I own it?

You own what we build for you: the code, the content, and the accounts it runs on (the domain, the hosting account and any service account, such as a payment account, are opened in your name). There is no proprietary platform to be locked into and no cancellation penalty.

Can you add it to the website I already have?

Add-ons are built into a ZONA site. If you already have a site, tell us what it's built with when you get in touch. We'll tell you honestly whether this can be added to it or would work better built into a new one. We'd rather say so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How do I get started?

Use the button on this page to add it to your project, or send a message. A discovery call takes about fifteen minutes (no pitch deck), and then you get a fixed-price proposal. You'll hear back within one business day.

Is there a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts is our standing rule: care plans are month to month, and any monthly terms for an add-on go in writing in your proposal before you sign anything.
