What it is
In plain words.
A printed menu is out of date the day a price changes. This add-on gives you a menu on your website that you can edit yourself from a phone, plus QR codes on printed cards so guests can pull it up at the table.
Because the menu is real text on your site (not a PDF), it loads fast on a phone and shows up in search, so someone looking for what you serve can find it.
A good fit if
- Restaurants, cafés, bars and food trucks whose menu or prices change.
- Places that add specials and need to pull items that sell out.
- Anyone still emailing a PDF menu.
Probably not for you if
- Your menu never changes and you love your printed one. A QR code adds little then.
We'd rather tell you so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How it goes
We build it from your menu
You send what you have (even a photo of the printed one) and we set it up.
You learn to edit it
A short walk-through, then you make a few changes yourself.
We print the QR cards
They arrive ready to put on tables and at the counter.
Why it's worth it
What it does for you.
Always right
A price change takes seconds, so the menu is never out of date.
No more reprint runs
Small changes stop costing a print job.
Easier to find
Your dishes become text search engines can read.
Fewer awkward moments
No telling a guest the special is gone after they've ordered it.
- The most valuable change is the one nobody notices: guests never see a stale price or a dish you no longer have.
Run your own numbers
Example figures. Change them to yours.
Add up what keeping a printed menu current costs you. These are example numbers: change them to your own.
Use what you'd pay someone for that hour, or what the hour could earn you.
- Reprints you no longer need4 reprints a year at $150, spread over twelve months
- $50
- Editing time you get back1.4 hours a month
- $42
Net each month
$92
That would repay the $395 setup in about 4.3 months, and about $1,104 a year after that.
What this assumes
- The QR cards are printed once with the add-on. If you also keep a printed menu for some tables, you may still reprint it occasionally.
The practical bits
What it takes.
What we need from you
- Your current menu in any form (a document, a photo, a link).
- Photos of dishes if you have them (optional).
- Your preferred section names and any dietary labels.
How long it takes
Usually about a week once we have your menu.
Timelines are typical. The dates for your project go in your proposal.
Afterwards
It's a one-time price. You own what we build, and if you ever want changes later, we quote them first.
Questions
Likely questions, answered.
Can I edit it from my phone?
Yes. Prices, descriptions, specials and sold-out marks can all be changed from a phone.
What do the QR codes link to?
To the live menu on your website, so it is always the current one.
Can I take orders from it?
The menu itself is for browsing. To let guests order, add commission-free ordering.
What if I change the design later?
The menu is yours, and the QR codes keep pointing at the same address, so printed cards don't need replacing.
Does it work in other languages?
Tell us what you need when you enquire. A second language is a scope question we'd quote before starting.
What does Live digital menu + QR codes cost?
$395 setup. The price is fixed and written into your proposal before any work starts, so there are no hourly surprises. If you ask for something that isn't in the proposal, we quote that change first and nothing changes until you agree.
Do I own it?
You own what we build for you: the code, the content, and the accounts it runs on (the domain, the hosting account and any service account, such as a payment account, are opened in your name). There is no proprietary platform to be locked into and no cancellation penalty.
Can you add it to the website I already have?
Add-ons are built into a ZONA site. If you already have a site, tell us what it's built with when you get in touch. We'll tell you honestly whether this can be added to it or would work better built into a new one. We'd rather say so than sell you something that doesn't fit.
How do I get started?
Use the button on this page to add it to your project, or send a message. A discovery call takes about fifteen minutes (no pitch deck), and then you get a fixed-price proposal. You'll hear back within one business day.
Is there a long-term contract?
No long-term contracts is our standing rule: care plans are month to month, and any monthly terms for an add-on go in writing in your proposal before you sign anything.
