Expanded store add-on in use

What it is

In plain words.

The Expanded store has everything in the Standard store, with room for up to 150 products and the tools a growing catalog needs: variants (sizes, colors, options), discount codes and reminders for customers who leave something in their cart.

Choose it when your products come in sizes or colors, when you want to run promotions, or when you have more than the Standard store holds.

A good fit if

  • Retailers with a real catalog of up to 150 products.
  • Products that come in sizes, colors or other options.
  • Businesses that want to run promotions and win back unfinished checkouts.

Probably not for you if

  • You sell a handful of products. The Standard store does that for less.

We'd rather tell you so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

What you get

Exactly what's included.

Up to 150 products

Each with photos, a description and a price.

Variants

Sizes, colors and options, each with their own stock and price if needed.

Discount codes

Codes you create, such as a percentage off for a promotion.

Abandoned-cart reminders

A reminder email to customers who left items in their cart.

Cart, checkout, shipping and tax

The same simple checkout, shipping rules and tax rules as the Standard store.

Card payments to your own account

Through Stripe or PayPal, in your name.

How it goes

  1. We build your catalog

Products, variants, photos and prices, in the structure that suits your range.

  2. We set up the extras

Discount codes and the reminder emails.

  3. We test real orders, then launch

    Including a few promotional orders.

Why it's worth it

What it does for you.

Sell the whole range

Variants keep one product page tidy instead of ten near-copies.

Run promotions yourself

Create a code in a minute for a sale or a thank-you.

Win back unfinished checkouts

A friendly reminder can bring back a shopper who got distracted.

Room to grow

A bigger catalog without moving to a different platform.

  • You can ignore this one if your catalog is small. Variants and discount codes are what you're paying for.

Run your own numbers

$41

That would repay the $1,795 setup in more than three years, and about $492 a year after that.

What this assumes

  • Recovery rates vary a great deal between businesses. This shows the arithmetic, not a forecast.

The practical bits

What it takes.

What we need from you

  • Your products with photos, descriptions, prices and the sizes, colors or options each comes in.
  • Your shipping policy and rates, and your sales tax details.
  • A Stripe or PayPal account in your name.

How long it takes

Usually three to five weeks, depending on how many products you have and how ready the photos are.

Timelines are typical. The dates for your project go in your proposal.

What the monthly fee covers

The monthly fee covers hosting the store, keeping it secure and updated, the email delivery for reminders and receipts, and help when you need a change.

Questions

Likely questions, answered.

Should I choose Standard or Expanded?

Choose Expanded if you have more than 25 products, if your products come in sizes or colors, or if you want discount codes and cart reminders. Otherwise Standard is enough.

How do the cart reminders work?

If a shopper gives their email at checkout and leaves, they receive a reminder with their cart. Reminders go only to people who gave their email, and include a way to opt out.

What kind of discount codes can I make?

Codes you create yourself, such as a percentage off. Tell us the kinds of promotions you run and we'll confirm the setup.

Can I import my existing products?

Often, yes. Tell us where your products live today (a spreadsheet, another store) and we'll tell you how we'd bring them over.

Does it sync with my in-store stock?

Not by itself. See in-store inventory sync for Square or Clover.

What does Expanded store cost?

$1,795 setup + $55/mo. The price is fixed and written into your proposal before any work starts, so there are no hourly surprises. If you ask for something that isn't in the proposal, we quote that change first and nothing changes until you agree.

Do I own it?

You own what we build for you: the code, the content, and the accounts it runs on (the domain, the hosting account and any service account, such as a payment account, are opened in your name). There is no proprietary platform to be locked into and no cancellation penalty.

Can you add it to the website I already have?

Add-ons are built into a ZONA site. If you already have a site, tell us what it's built with when you get in touch. We'll tell you honestly whether this can be added to it or would work better built into a new one. We'd rather say so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How do I get started?

Use the button on this page to add it to your project, or send a message. A discovery call takes about fifteen minutes (no pitch deck), and then you get a fixed-price proposal. You'll hear back within one business day.

Is there a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts is our standing rule: care plans are month to month, and any monthly terms for an add-on go in writing in your proposal before you sign anything.
