What it is

In plain words.

Stock photos are easy to spot, and they quietly say the opposite of what a local business wants to say. A customer deciding whether to call you wants to see the actual team, the actual shop or truck and the actual work.

We spend a half-day on location in the Quad Cities photographing exactly that, then edit and deliver the best of it, fully licensed to you. It's the same idea as the rest of this site: no invented clients, no borrowed portfolios, only real work.

A good fit if

  • Local businesses that currently use stock images or old phone photos.
  • Trades, restaurants, shops, studios and practices with a place and a team worth showing.
  • Businesses preparing a new website, profile or print material.

Probably not for you if

  • You already have a good, current library of your own professional photos.

We'd rather tell you so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How it goes

  1. We plan the shoot with you

A shot list built around your business.

  2. We shoot on location

A half-day with you, your team and your work.

  3. We edit and deliver

The selected set, licensed to you.

Why it's worth it

What it does for you.

Trust at a glance

Real faces and real places beat stock imagery.

A site that's clearly yours

Nobody else's image library.

Use them everywhere

Website, Google profile, print, social and signage.

Photos that age well

Your own work doesn't date like a trend.

  • Photographs are the one part of a website a visitor reads without effort. They're worth getting right.

The practical bits

What it takes.

What we need from you

  • Access to your premises and the people and work you want shown.
  • A rough shot list, and anything you particularly don't want in frame.
  • Your team's agreement to be photographed.

How long it takes

Usually two to three weeks from the shoot day to the finished set, depending on the schedule.

Timelines are typical. The dates for your project go in your proposal.

Afterwards

It's a one-time price. You own what we build, and if you ever want changes later, we quote them first.

Questions

Likely questions, answered.

Where do you shoot?

On location in the Quad Cities area: Prescott Valley, Prescott, Dewey-Humboldt, Chino Valley and nearby. Tell us where you are and we'll confirm; travel further out is quoted.

How many photos do I get?

A curated set, with the number named in your proposal so you know what to expect.

Who owns the photos?

You have a full licence to use them as you like, on your website, in print and on social media.

Can you do headshots?

Yes. Tell us who needs one and we'll build it into the day.

What if the weather is bad?

For outdoor work we'll reschedule rather than shoot something you wouldn't be happy with.

What does On-location photography cost?

$795 setup. The price is fixed and written into your proposal before any work starts, so there are no hourly surprises. If you ask for something that isn't in the proposal, we quote that change first and nothing changes until you agree.

Do I own it?

You own what we build for you: the code, the content, and the accounts it runs on (the domain, the hosting account and any service account, such as a payment account, are opened in your name). There is no proprietary platform to be locked into and no cancellation penalty.

Can you add it to the website I already have?

Add-ons are built into a ZONA site. If you already have a site, tell us what it's built with when you get in touch. We'll tell you honestly whether this can be added to it or would work better built into a new one. We'd rather say so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How do I get started?

Use the button on this page to add it to your project, or send a message. A discovery call takes about fifteen minutes (no pitch deck), and then you get a fixed-price proposal. You'll hear back within one business day.

Is there a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts is our standing rule: care plans are month to month, and any monthly terms for an add-on go in writing in your proposal before you sign anything.
