Logo design add-on in use

What it is

In plain words.

A logo goes on everything: the truck door, the invoice, the shirt, the sign, the website and the social profile. If yours is a blurry file someone made years ago, or you aren't sure who owns it, every one of those is a little worse than it should be.

We design a logo for your business as a wordmark and an icon, deliver it as proper vector files in every format you'll need, and transfer all usage rights to you. It's yours to use anywhere, with no licence to renew and no one to ask.

A good fit if

  • New businesses that need a first logo.
  • Established businesses stuck with a logo they can't edit, enlarge or find the files for.
  • Trades that want something readable at a glance on a vehicle or a sign.

Probably not for you if

  • You need a full set of brand guidelines and templates. See the full brand identity system.
  • Your current logo is fine and you only lack the files. Tell us. That may be a smaller job, and we'll say so.

We'd rather tell you so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

What you get

Exactly what's included.

A custom wordmark and icon

Designed for your business, not picked from a template.

Vector files

Scalable to any size without going blurry, from a business card to a building.

The full set of formats

Full color, one color and reversed (for dark backgrounds), as vector and image files.

All usage rights transferred to you

It's yours to use anywhere, without a licence.

A quick reference

The colors and fonts used, written down, so the next person who touches your logo gets it right.

How it goes

  1. We learn what you do and who you want to reach

A short set of questions about your business, customers and tastes.

  2. We design and refine

You review the work and we refine it. How many rounds are included is set out in your proposal.

  3. We deliver the full file set

    And transfer the rights.

Why it's worth it

What it does for you.

Looks sharp everywhere

Vector files stay crisp on a van wrap and a favicon alike.

Yours outright

No licence, no renewal and no one else's permission.

Recognizable

A distinct mark people remember at a glance.

One less thing to hunt for

Every file you'll need, in one folder.

  • A logo is bought once and used for years, on everything you own that has your name on it.
  • The part people forget to ask about is the files and the rights. They are most of the value.

The practical bits

What it takes.

What we need from you

  • A few words about your business, customers and the look you like (and dislike).
  • Any existing logo or branding you want to keep or move away from.
  • Examples of logos you admire.

How long it takes

Usually two to three weeks, depending on how quickly feedback comes back.

Timelines are typical. The dates for your project go in your proposal.

Afterwards

It's a one-time price. You own what we build, and if you ever want changes later, we quote them first.

Questions

Likely questions, answered.

How many ideas and revisions do I get?

That's set out in your proposal before work starts, so you know exactly what's included.

Who owns the logo?

You do. All usage rights are transferred to you.

Can I trademark it?

We transfer the rights to the design. Registering a trademark is a separate legal step, and an attorney or the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is the right place to start.

What formats will I receive?

Vector files for print and large uses, and image files for screens, each in full color, one color and reversed.

Can you improve my existing logo?

Often. Tell us what you have, and we'll say whether to refine it or start fresh.

What does Logo design cost?

$695 setup. The price is fixed and written into your proposal before any work starts, so there are no hourly surprises. If you ask for something that isn't in the proposal, we quote that change first and nothing changes until you agree.

Do I own it?

You own what we build for you: the code, the content, and the accounts it runs on (the domain, the hosting account and any service account, such as a payment account, are opened in your name). There is no proprietary platform to be locked into and no cancellation penalty.

Can you add it to the website I already have?

Add-ons are built into a ZONA site. If you already have a site, tell us what it's built with when you get in touch. We'll tell you honestly whether this can be added to it or would work better built into a new one. We'd rather say so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How do I get started?

Use the button on this page to add it to your project, or send a message. A discovery call takes about fifteen minutes (no pitch deck), and then you get a fixed-price proposal. You'll hear back within one business day.

Is there a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts is our standing rule: care plans are month to month, and any monthly terms for an add-on go in writing in your proposal before you sign anything.
