What it is

In plain words.

A website can look beautiful and still say nothing. Placeholder text, vague promises and generic 'we are dedicated to excellence' lines don't help a customer decide, and they give search engines little to work with.

We write the real words: what you do, who it's for, how it works and why someone should call you, in plain language and in your voice. We write for the person reading first, and make sure the page titles, headings and local details also give search engines what they need.

A good fit if

  • Businesses with a new site and no time to write it.
  • Owners who know their work but struggle to put it into words.
  • Anyone whose current copy is generic, outdated or copied from somewhere else.

Probably not for you if

  • You enjoy writing and have the time. Your own voice is hard to beat.

We'd rather tell you so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

What you get

Exactly what's included.

A short interview

We ask about your business, customers and what sets you apart.

Copy for five pages

Written to suit each page's job: home, services, about and more.

Headlines and calls to action

Clear ones, so visitors know what to do next.

Search basics built in

Page titles, descriptions and headings that include the services and towns that matter.

Your voice

Plain language that sounds like you, not like a brochure.

Only claims you can back up

We don't invent results, awards or promises.

How it goes

  1. We interview you

About your business, customers and what you want each page to do.

  2. We write the five pages

And send them for your review.

  3. We refine and finish

Edits are handled as set out in your proposal.

Why it's worth it

What it does for you.

Pages that say something

Real answers instead of filler.

Written for customers and for search

Both matter, and customers come first.

No staring at a blank page

You answer questions instead of writing from scratch.

Honest copy

Nothing you'd be uncomfortable defending.

  • The words are what the visitor actually reads, and it's the part most websites skimp on.

Run your own numbers

Example figures. Change them to yours.

Count your own time, once. These are example numbers: change them to your own.

hrs
$

Use what you'd pay someone for that hour, or what the hour could earn you.

The value of your own time, once
$525

Value of the work, once

$525

Doing this yourself would cost about $525 in time, which is more than the $495 setup price.

What this assumes

  • This counts only your time. It leaves out how the finished result compares.
  • Hours spent are only part of it. Most owners also find writing about themselves harder than writing about the work.

The practical bits

What it takes.

What we need from you

  • Time for a short interview.
  • Any existing text, brochures or reviews you want drawn on.
  • Facts we can check: services, areas, history.

How long it takes

Usually two to three weeks, depending on how quickly you can review.

Timelines are typical. The dates for your project go in your proposal.

Afterwards

It's a one-time price. You own what we build, and if you ever want changes later, we quote them first.

Questions

Likely questions, answered.

What does 'five pages' mean?

Five pages of your site, for example home, services, about, a key service and contact. Your proposal names exactly which.

Will you make claims I can't back up?

Never. We write about what's true and provable, in line with our own Zero-Fabrication Pledge.

Can you rewrite what I already have?

Yes. Send us the current text and we'll tell you what to keep and what to replace.

Can I edit the result?

Of course. It's yours.

Do you write the blog or articles too?

That's the monthly local SEO article add-on.

Can you write for more than five pages?

Yes. We'd quote additional pages once we know how many.

What does Professional copywriting cost?

$495 setup. The price is fixed and written into your proposal before any work starts, so there are no hourly surprises. If you ask for something that isn't in the proposal, we quote that change first and nothing changes until you agree.

Do I own it?

You own what we build for you: the code, the content, and the accounts it runs on (the domain, the hosting account and any service account, such as a payment account, are opened in your name). There is no proprietary platform to be locked into and no cancellation penalty.

Can you add it to the website I already have?

Add-ons are built into a ZONA site. If you already have a site, tell us what it's built with when you get in touch. We'll tell you honestly whether this can be added to it or would work better built into a new one. We'd rather say so than sell you something that doesn't fit.

How do I get started?

Use the button on this page to add it to your project, or send a message. A discovery call takes about fifteen minutes (no pitch deck), and then you get a fixed-price proposal. You'll hear back within one business day.

Is there a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts is our standing rule: care plans are month to month, and any monthly terms for an add-on go in writing in your proposal before you sign anything.
