How Much Does a Website Actually Cost in Prescott Valley?
Ask five web designers in the Quad Cities what a website costs and four of them will tell you to book a consultation. That isn't evasiveness for its own sake — scope genuinely varies — but it does leave business owners unable to budget before they've sat through a sales call. So here is the honest picture of this market.
At the bottom of the professional range, a small brochure site for a trade or a solo practitioner runs somewhere between $1,400 and $2,500. That buys five or so pages, a mobile-first layout, working forms, basic on-page SEO, and a Google Business Profile that's set up properly. Below roughly $1,200 you are almost certainly buying a template with your logo dropped into it, or work that's been outsourced to someone who will not be there in six months.
The middle of the market — where most established local businesses land — sits between $2,500 and $4,000. The jump is not mostly about page count. It's about dedicated pages for each service and each town you serve, a content management system you can actually use, conversion paths designed around how your customers buy, and structured data that gives Google something to work with.
Above $5,000 you are paying for custom functionality rather than more pages: booking engines, client portals, inventory sync, quote calculators. A lodging business that wants live availability on its own site is a genuinely different engineering problem than a five-page contractor site, and it should be priced like one.
Three things inflate quotes without adding value. The first is page count billed per page when the pages share a template — the tenth page of a template costs a fraction of the first. The second is 'SEO' as an unexplained line item; ask specifically what will be delivered. The third is long contracts on maintenance. Ongoing care is genuinely valuable, but it should be month to month, because a studio confident in its work doesn't need a lock-in clause.
One number matters more than the build price: what the site is worth. A contractor whose average job is $4,000 needs one extra call per quarter to pay for a $3,000 website in the first year. Frame the decision that way and the conversation about price gets much simpler.
